'Girl with Hoop' 2002 - 2003 a maquette in an edition of 6 of the commissioned sculpture for Normansfield Hospital, Richmond, London; bronze resin and brass coated steel sculpture 890mm high x 560mm wide x 180mm deep by André Wallace (born 1947) 

Sculptor of large figures in metal of a populist nature, born in Somerset, where he studied at the College of Art, Liverpool College of Art, Royal Academy Schools and Royal College of Art. He gained the Sainsbury Prize for Sculpture in 1973. As well as making smaller sculptures for interiors Wallace collaborated with architects, developers and councils to produce public pieces such as The Whisper, commissioned by Milton Keynes Development Corporation and sited in 1984 in Silbury Boulevard there. Sites in Newcastle, Telford and London, where he lived, also hold his works.
