'Lovers try to place Pleasure in Boxes'

'Lovers try to place Pleasure in Boxes' Project 14: THE PAINTER WITH MARY: a Study in Obsessional Behaviour oil on stretched canvas 1150 x 2210mm by Robert Oscar Lenkiewicz (1941-2002). Complete with a closed-corner gold metal-leaf slip rubbed through to red bole on sight edges within a closed-corner 'ROL' black hand-painted frame. Exhibited in 1981 exhibit number 48 of 72 and marked: NFS (Not For Sale).

Gallery owner's notes: Robert often spoke about how he saw and felt colour/colours flowing from him to his sexual partner and colour/colours flowing from her to him. The colours from him to her and from her to him were unique to the partnership and that he could see and feel the colours both vividly and with intensity.
